Welcome to the UNC Charlotte Office of Parent and Family Services. We are pleased your son or daughter has chosen to become a UNC Charlotte student and we look forward to assisting you as a parent or family member. As a unit within the Division of Student Affairs, our programs and services are intended to assist parents and families in understanding the goals and expectations of this dynamic university community and to introduce you to the valuable resources available on campus. We extend a special invitation to you to join Niner Nation Family, our flagship program, which allows you to share with other parents and families who are interested in supporting their student’s educational experience.
Niner Nation Family Mission
We realize that parents are a very important part of the university community and strive to provide valuable programs, services, and communication between the parents and families and the university in order to support student success and promote family involvement within the campus community. Membership to Niner Nation Family is free and open to all parents and families.
Membership Benefits
As a Niner Nation Family member, you will receive:
- A parent's calendar, which includes information about academic and administrative departments, services, dates, and important phone numbers.
- Niner Nation Family, an e magazine published twice a year (fall and spring)
- Relatively Speaking, an e newsletter published monthly with articles about helping your son or daughter through common challenges of college life and information about upcoming UNC Charlotte events. A parent’s calendar, which includes facts about academic and administrative departments, services, dates, and important phone numbers.
- Invitations to special University receptions and events, like Family Day and Family Weekend
- Campus discounts during various University events.
- Niner Nation Family merchandise to show off your special status as a proud 49er parent.
- Opportunities to volunteer and participate in university programs and events.
How to Join
Membership is FREE with the completion of a Niner Nation Family membership form online. By filling out the membership form you will automatically be placed into the parents listserv, an announcement-only email service to send updates and information about campus events and reminders for deadlines and dates. Click "Membership Form" in the left column.
