Summer School Information

For all parents:
The Forecast Is Warm - think Summer School. Registration opens March 26! For more information and a complete list of courses visit: http://summerschool.uncc.edu/

For parents of incoming Freshmen:
Is your son or daughter admitted as a freshman in the Fall 2012? Are they impatient and motivated to get started on their college career? They may want to invest some of their summer to give themselves a headstart in the fall. Visit http://summerschool.uncc.edu/freshman-headstart for more information.

Is your incoming freshman choosing a major where math or chemistry would be required?
Did you know that Chemistry, the first science course freshmen take, and essential in many fields, is historically where a number of students struggle. Additionally, Freshman often don’t realize that a weak mathematical background may prevent them from getting into desired classes and/or cause them to be unsuccessful in these classes. Check out our Freshman Crash Courses in Chemistry or Math: http://continuinged.uncc.edu/freshman/

A New Semester and A New Start!

Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration
As a parent of a freshmen or transfer student you may not know what to expect from the university. Discovering what expectations parent and students share plays a key role in determining the level of satisfaction during the student's college career.
We encourage parents to attend Student Orientation, Advising and Registration (SOAR) with their students to gain a better understanding of college life. Registration for Summer SOAR will begin on Monday, April 2, 2012 at 12noon est. Please check their website in late March for more information.
