WOW Team Leaders

Week of Welcome (WOW!) Team Leaders provide leadership, support and guidance to the Week of Welcome program and the Week of Welcome Leaders.  WOW! Team Leaders are dependable, responsible and flexible student leaders.  They possess strong time management skills as well as demonstrate a willingness to help others.  These students enjoy working with new students and consistently display a positive and supportive attitude, especially during stressful and demanding situations.

These highly motivated students are responsible for:
•    Assisting in the planning, implementation and evaluation of WOW! programs.
•    Staffing the various programs and activities offered during WOW!
•    Leading a team of 15 – 20 WOW! Leaders.
•    Working with WOW! Committee to develop, coordinate, and implement WOW! Training.
•    Aiding in the coordination of event publicity.
•    Remaining flexible, open-minded, and ready to accept new tasks and additional responsibilities.

In order to qualify to become a Week of Welcome Team Leader, students must:
•    Be a former Week of Welcome Leader.
•    Attend weekly meetings throughout the Spring semester.
•    Be willing and able to come back to campus a week early in August.
•    Maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA).
•    Be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student for the upcoming Fall semester.
•    Be in good university standing.
